Live Streaming Sunset is a series of projected projects to track the sunset across the globe in real time, creating an ongoing 24 hour setting sun, an eternal present. The sunset becomes a stretched out moment, collapsing distance and time, as it unfurls across the continent. Utilising wifi enabled surveillance cameras and found web cams the work morphs with each viewing, never the same video twice, live and projected out onto the street. Further showings have included streams from Iceland to NY on to Costa Rica, Colorado, to California at Fridman Gallery in NYC as well as other iterations at the Parramatta Lanes Festival in Sydney, Australia, the Queens International 2016 at the Queens Museum, and the 2018 Mardin Bienali in Turkey.
The latest iteration, 9 Suns, was on view January 22 - January 28, 2021 in the exhibition The Hours After at Gillman Barracks for Singapore Art Week.
